Top 5 Artists to Check Out this Week.

 by Allyson Romano

Lilith Czar- Lola
Released: April 3, 2021
Genre: Rock
Available: Full Album.

Rebranded in 2021 as Lilith Czar, Juliet Simms was on season 2 of the Voice. With her beautiful, bad ass voice covering “Oh! Darling” and “Roxanne” she won over the audience and judges placing 2nd that season. She has also teamed up for a song with Nita Strauss, on Nita’s recent album. Give her amazing vocals a listen and be on the lookout for this rising star.

 Olivia Rodrigo- Pretty Isn’t Pretty
Released: September 8, 2023
Genre: Pop
Available: Full album.

I’ve never really paid much attention to Olivia Rodrigo, but I came across this song by chance. If this isn’t a song that every woman hasn’t resonated with in her life, then I don’t know what is…. even for the prettiest of girls. I like the tempo of this song, very chill but poignant. If you’re having a moment, check this one out.

Moody Joody- Dream Girl
Released: June 16, 2023
Genre: Alternative
Availability- Single

Part of the excellent advantages of being a part of F28 Music Media Live is exposure to new music. We covered Moody Joody just last week and hadn’t heard of them before this.
Their single Dream Girl has soft and sultry moments, with the kind of 90’s vibe and build up I personally love. Their harmony together is outstanding, and I cannot wait for them to come out with a full album. Definitely give these gems a listen and keep your eyes on their future. They’re sure to shine!

Crash Adams- Sugar Mommy
Released: July 14, 2023
Genre: Pop
Available: Single

This song caught my attention immediately with its beat and reeled me in with lyrics. This song is super fun and danceable! Crash Adams is a Canadian Pop duo that has released several singles and was nominated for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2024. Give them some love and check them out!

Maisie Peters- Therapy
Released: June 23, 2023
Genre: Alternative
Available: Full Album

I was first exposed to Maise Peters when our own Ricki Wood covered her last year, and because I love checking out various artists, I gave her a listen. Therapy is my favorite Maisie Peters song. She has such a beautiful voice that perfectly harmonizes with the beats of her songs. At 23, she soared to the No. 1 spot on the UK charts and became the youngest solo British female artist to do so in almost a decade! Give her fabulous vocals a listen!
