Cat’s Cradle hosted a high-powered show on a rainy night in Carrboro. Headliner Bayside, with openers Save Face and Pinkshift took the stage by storm as loyal fans quickly packed the venue.

Both opening acts were up-and-coming punk rock groups that made the most of their time on stage. Jersey-based Save Face gave an outrageously fun set as they all bounced around on stage donning bright red jumpsuits. Their 2021 album Another Kill For The Highlight Reel was full of hits that translate flawlessly to live performance. Baltimore-based breakout stars Pinkshift followed suit with a fresh and dynamic set. Lead-singer Ashrita Kumar is a force to be reckoned with as their compelling vocals and incredible stage presence demanded attention from the audience. The group tore through a setlist that included their new song “i’m not crying you’re crying” from their album Love Me Forever, which is set to be released October 2022.

There was a palpable sense of unrelenting excitement as Bayside began to play. There was no shortage of headbanging from the crowd as the raw guitar riffs that fans know and love filled the venue. Bayside played through a healthy mix of songs from throughout their career with ease and confidence as fans experienced a night to remember.
