Buckcherry is back with their 9th studio album and it is all rock and roll. The band has a real hit with this new album. The first song off the new record is called “54321” and it hits your ear drums like a sledge hammer hitting concrete. It starts off fast and never lets up and just to think that is the first song off the record! Lead singer Josh Todd’s performance on this record is phenomenal. The entire band really sounds great and strong in this record. The entire album is full of non stop, unrelenting and unapologetic rock songs mixing classic rock guitar riffs with punk like elements but never diverging from the core sound of the album which is face pounding rock and roll.

The second song of the record called “So Hot” is fucking incredible. It is such a fun song and makes you want to jump around until you pass out. I can see me blaring this song out of my car speakers as my windows shake. Such a great track. The song “Hellbound” is another track that makes you want to jump up and down while singing along with the chorus of the song. Once you hear it you will understand what I mean. The song “Gun” which is the fourth song on the record mixes what sounds like to me a southern style rock riff blended with blues riffs and a solo that would make any guitarists heart melt. This is definitely another favorite track of mine from this record.

Each song on the record has a life of it’s own. With songs like “no more lies” that give this poetically driven slow groove that just makes your body sway along with the music proves Buckcherry is on top of its game. The record really does not miss a beat in regards to heart pounding rock and roll. There is one song on the record that slows things down a bit and it is very well done called “the way” which is track nine on the record. Such a great love song and if you have been a fan of Buckcherry then you know that it is a love song done and performed with heart and emotion.

The entire album is really well done and sounds great. I can’t really pick a favorite song off of this album because it really is that damn good. This album really does show everyone that a band who has been around for 20+ years still has the energy, passion, talent and creative writing to make a great record. Buckcherry is a leading force in the rock music scene and this new record only helps to confirm that.
